A good navy blue to use

It’s hard to find the right shade of paint when you go to the store.  You know what color you want, but then you have to pick between 50 shades of the color.  I wanted your traditional navy blue, but it was so hard to find.  I went with Sherwin Williams – Naval.  It looks black at the store but when it’s outside, it definitely looks the right color.

The Siding Before and After Photos

Painting your own siding is much cheaper than hiring someone. The awning was not painted, neither were the trim…it is getting cold so we haven’t gotten to it.

You probably noticed that the storm door is different in the photos.  After painting the door such a pretty navy blue, the old storm door which had a broken latch covered the whole paint job.  So we installed a new storm door.  It was a spur of the moment purchase, so it was $200.  If you plan ahead you could probably get it a little cheaper.  I also want to buy a gold kick plate at the bottom of the door, but I haven’t yet.  I also purchased Rustoleum Primer and painted the rusty awning supports.
